In a city where it's deemed difficult to meet new people, what's a person to do?

Concept

RSVP 33 believes that Vancouver is full of friendly people and they help you find them. A community of
like-minded individuals was created where genuine relationships could be fostered in a conducive environment.

Approach

RSVP 33 had three main pillars:

Hangouts - each member would bring a friend along who wasn't part of the club; having a buddy system immediately created an comfortable environment where it was no longer so intimidating to meet new people. Fun games and ice breakers kicked off the experience to further ease everyone in. In every Hangout conducted, new friendships were created.

Blog 

The blog was used as a platform for social initiatives. RSVP 33 was positioned as a specialist in connections. Insights on improving productivity, happiness, and success as well as and suggestions for meeting new people were shared. The 33 Coffees project was an initiative based around connecting with thirty-three strangers, one at a time for a cup of coffee, each person was also granted one favor.   

App 

The concept for the mobile app was for users to be able to join Hangouts spontaneously. When users logged onto the app they would be able to find members who are hanging out together within a defined location. Hangouts that were welcoming new people would appear on the map and RSVP 33 members would be welcome to join.
